Day 3
Day 3 which again was an early start due to a 2 hour bus journey at the end. Calves are pretty sore from two consecutive days of climbing up and down stepsš±
Breakfast was a little different than previous days with some traditional Chinese fare. I didnāt have any but seemed to be a type of egg fried rice, coleslaw and omeletteā¦with some fancy cut bananas too!
We started where weād finished yesterday and after a few hundred steps, looked back on the view of where we had walked.
There was a lot more in the way of steeper sections today, with a mixture of slopes as well as steps. I think the group was unanimous in thinking that we actually prefer steps to slopes. The last of the uphill sections was described as a āmini heavenly ladderā which would give us a taste of what we would experience tomorrow!
We had another two watchtowers to walk through before making our descent down the 1400 steps to our bus and lunch.
A two hour bus journey took us to the beginning of tomorrowās walk. Dinner was another fabulous selection of sweet/sour dishes, fish, noodles and lots of veg.
After dinner, we took part in the art of Chinese rubbing. Lots of hilarity at our table due to spilt ink and various disastersš We all got there in the end and had pictured good enough to frame and take home!
Youāre doing amazing, love the look of the food āŗļø
Fantastic photos Karen, food looks delicious!
